Since the release of Far Cry 3, the antagonist of each game since then has taken the spotlight from the protagonist. With Vaas, Pagan Min, and now Father Joseph Seed. In the latest video provided by Ubisoft, we get a look at how Greg Bryk, who plays The Father, captured the personality of Far Cry 5’s main villain.

It’s a brilliantly crafted video showcasing how the developers crafted The Father’s ideology that would eventually engulf the community of Hope County and develop the cult known as Eden’s Gate. Here’s what Bryk said, while in character, how The Father sees himself.

“I don’t think I’m a villain. I don’t think The Father is a villain. I think in a lot of ways I come from a pace of love with it but I also have a certainty that I’m right and sometimes when you’re right you have to even to force the people you love to choose the right path and that creates discord and we really explore a family that’s held together by love and fear which often families are.”

Far Cry 5 is set to be officially released on March 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
