Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & is releasing this year on July 24th for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. However, unlike the 2006 version, this updated edition will include a new mode and extras.

First off, you can purchase the entire collection for $40 for the entire product or $20 each, with Legacy Collection 1 including Mega Man X, X2, X3, and X4, while Legacy Collection 2 includes Mega Man X5, X6, X7, and X8.  The Xbox One and PS4 versions will come with 2 discs while the Nintendo Switch will include Legacy Collection 1 and a digital voucher for Legacy Collection 2.

The updated version will include optional smoothing, CRT filters, widescreen modes, and the original resolutions along with improved 3D models for Mega Man X7 and X8. Also included is a new mode called X Challenge where players can face 2 bosses at the same time and an origins film called The Day of Σ. The film will feature the origins of antagonist Sigma.
