Overwatch has been out for more than a year, but the development team at Blizzard is constantly looking for new things to add to the game. The recent event is Archives, which adds a new PvE event called Retribution and a new map coming to PTR later this month. Now, the lead designer, Jeff Kaplan, has explained that the team is working on new cross-platform progression.

In a recent interview, Jeff Kaplan explained to PCGamesN that discussions about the possible future of shared progress with PC and consoles is something Blizzard would like to explore. However, this feature is still being experimented with and is “challenging for many reasons.”

It isn’t uncommon for players to purchase the same game for other platforms. Some companies, like Microsoft through Xbox Play Anywhere, offer cross-platform play and saves.

Overwatch is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Archives will end on April 30th.
