The launch of Star Wars Battlefront II was a tragedy, with massive community backlash and even government involvement over the loot box system placed in video games. Over the course of months, EA and DICE have attempted to revise the game’s progression system and provide a more welcoming and balanced experience. After temporarily taking the microtransaction system down, EA is now bringing back the premium currency, Crystals, along with a new limited time mode next week.

The new mode is called Ewok Hunt and recreates the Battle of Endor. Similar to Infection, players take control of either Stormtroopers or Ewoks during the iconic fight from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. When an Ewok kills a Stormtrooper, they respawn as an Ewok.

As promised, EA is bringing back premium currency, which can only be purchased using real-world money, and can only be used for cosmetic items. Joining the cosmetics are 2 new costumes for Han and Leia, both inspired by Return of the Jedi.

Night on Endor launches on April 18th on all platforms, check out the screenshots below.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
