When Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s Kickstarter campaign was in progress, one of the goals an 8-bit game was promised and the studio has fulfilled that promise. During a panel at Bitsummit in Kyoto, Inti Creates and Artplay announced Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon will launch this month on May 24th.

Seen in the trailer above, the game looks and plays like an 8-bit Castlevania game from the NES era. It’ll feature 4 playable characters: Miriam, Zangetsu, Alfred, and Gebel. Considering the next Castlevania game to release will be a mobile title, this may be a better alternative for many fans.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon releases on May 24th, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, PS Vita, and PC. It’ll be available to those who donated $28 to the Kickstarter campaign for free.
