The latest entry of Fallout called Fallout 76 has fans polarized. Some love the new direction and others are vexed. However, it would seem that Fallout 4 was supposed to have multiplayer but was scrapped and became Fallout 76.

The information comes from a documentary from Noclip who revealed the new information. Bethesda Game Studios director Todd Howard explained how the studio played with multiplayer “Hey, should we do multiplayer? ‘Probably not.’ What would it be? ‘OK, it would be this.’ Let’s talk it through. ‘OK, that’s pretty awesome.’”

This wasn’t the only piece of information provided by the studios many talented developers. They went into detail how this version of Fallout will focus less on humans since the people leaving the vault are of a controlled group only 25 years after the bombs dropped. Because of this humans haven’t taken over the landscape and no factions have been formed. However, feral ghouls who maintained their sanity are roaming around called the Scorched. Capable of using guns and much smarter than other ghouls.

Fallout 76 is set to launch on November 14, 2018, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
