Pokemon GO remains one of the most popular mobile games available but since its launch, the game’s player base has dropped, until now. Since the announcement that Pokemon GO would be compatible with Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Pikachu numbers have risen beyond its 2016 numbers.

Superdata, a data analysis firm, no exact numbers were provided but the report has stated that good weather conditions may be responsible. However, it’s much more likely that players are attempting to build their player profiles for the upcoming Nintendo Switch release.

Since June 2016 Pokemon GO was downloaded over 130 million times and set dozens of records for its revenue, with reports surfacing all over the world about the game’s popularity. By mid-2017 active player counts began to drop and it fell off the top 10 revenue chats but Niantic’s CEO confirmed that over 65 million players were still active.

Pokemon GO is available now on mobile devices.
