One of the most negative received criticisms for the acclaimed title Middle-earth: Shadow of War was the Marketplace microtransaction system that cripples the key feature of the Nemesis system. Now the system has been removed from the game.

The update also changes the Shadow Wars chapter to The Epilogue, the post-campaign features new narration from Shelob, the Witch-king and Dark Talion. Finishing the Epilogue rewards players with the Masks of the Nazgûl, unlocks powerful new abilities to raise the dead, curse enemies and summons more powerful monsters.

In addition:

The follower level cap has now been increased to 80

Enemy Captain level cap has been increased to 85.

More Legendary Orcs to encounter

Followers can provide occasional gifts.

Savior Feature can be turned off

New Player Skins

Celebrimbor

Dark Eltariel

Baranor

This is definitely a positive direction but has come way too late since the game released back in September. Many gamers have moved on to new titles but these changes will allow newcomers to try a more polished version of Shadow of War.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
