Titles like Thumper and  Mario and Luigi: Inside Bowser’s Story are notorious for their use of music and gameplay. Drastic Games, made up of veteran developers from Epic Games, have unveiled their upcoming title Soundfall.

Soundfall stars Melody, a young audiophile, enters the world of Symphonia. In this realm, music comes to life and wrapped into a conflict against a dark force called Discord.

Players can choose to play alone or with 3 other friends in online and local cooperative play as you music complements the entire gameplay experience.

In an official press release Drastic Games stated:

Harnessing the power of Epic’s Unreal Engine 4, Soundfall pushes what’s possible for small team development. “Soundfall is an extraordinary project to be part of,” said Julian Trutmann, content director, Drastic Games. “Music connects people in ways that are difficult to articulate. Soundfall looks beautiful, mixing together science-fiction and fantasy with a lush array of color and matches the excellent music. The only issue is that it’s launching next year.

Soundfall will release on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019. Attendees of PAX West, EGX, and PAX Australia this year will be able to play a demo of the game.
