Everybody’s joining the fight in the latest Smash Bros. installment, and when we say everyone, we mean it. The latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Direct confirmed five new fighters, including some highly requested fan-favorites.

Castlevania‘s Simon Belmont and the Donkey Kong series villain King K. Rool headline the new reveals. Alongside them, three new Echo Fighters were announced: Chrom, Dark Samus, and Richter Belmont.

Here’s a quick look at each of the reveals:

Simon Belmont and Richter Belmont

The famous vampire hunters of the Castlevania series are here! The most famous of series protagonists, Simon Belmont, makes his debut as a playable character.

Simon uses his iconic whip. He also comes equipped with an axe, cross, and holy water. His Final Smash incorporates the Grand Cross, where he traps his foes in a common and attacks with holy crosses.

Richter Belmont shows up as his Echo Fighter. As an Echo fighter, their attack properties are similar and move sets are similar. However, they do have a few different abilities that differentiate the two of them.

A new map, Dracula Castle, will represent them and the Castlevania series. It features cameo appearances from various monsters from the series, including a boss battle against Dracula himself!

Chrom

Fire Emblem: Awakening‘s Chrom has waited long enough. He’ll no longer wait to get his chance another day; he’ll be joining the fight alongside his allies Robin and Lucina!

The official Super Smash Bros. website lists his as an Echo Fighter of Roy. However, his move set has homages to each of the other Fire Emblem swordsmen of Smash. He’s got Ike’s Aether, something like Marth’s version of the Dancing Blade special, and Roy’s jabs.

Dark Samus

Samus’s main foe of the Metroid Prime trilogy is getting promoted from an Assist Trophy to a full-fledged fighter! It’s a nice gesture to give the series even more representation alongside the recent reveal of Ridley.

Dark Samus appears to be floating slightly when she walks. In addition, her moveset uses all sorts of different blasts of Phazon energy.

King K. Rool

Finally, he’s here for you. He’s the most recent member of the Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s villain crew.

The Donkey Kong series villain finally joins Smash alongside other iconic Nintendo foes like Bowser, King Dedede, and Ganondorf. He was previously given a Mii costume in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, possibly in reference to his popularity in the Character Ballot.

King K. Rool fights using moves inspired by his appearances from the Donkey Kong Country series and Donkey Kong 64. He shoots cannonballs from his blunderbuss, pulls out his boxing gloves to jab his opponents, and tosses his crown like a boomerang. For his Final Smash, King K. Rool unleashes the Blast-o-Matic from his Crocodile Isle fortress and aims a deadly laser.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available for Nintendo Switch on December 7th.
