During QuakeCon 2018, we got a lot of information regarding DOOM Eternal, including a first look into the game. One of the more surprising announcements was that the game would launch for the Nintendo Switch on the same day as other platforms. However, it won’t be id Software working on it but Panic Button.

Panic Button is known for porting a lot of games such as DOOM 2016 and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus to the Nintendo Switch. So it shouldn’t be surprising that Bethesda is looking to the studio to do the same. Unfortunately, the game won’t be as powerful as the other version of the game.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Marty Stratton and Hugo Martin from Bethesda revealed that the game will not run at 60fps on Switch but 30fps to focus on the “experience”.

DOOM Eternal is in development for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
