Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age has many hidden bosses and the optional Espers are the most entertaining. You’ll learn where to find Zeromus, the Condemner, and how to defeat it.
Location of the apartment:
Zeromus is located at Mt. Bur-Omisace’s Veiled Gods Throne in the Stilshrine. Players must get the Stone of the Condemner from the Acolyte at the base of steps outside the Temple Grounds where you fought Judge Bergan.
Once inside the Way Stone, on the far side of the door you entered the Stilshrine, 2 Reaper Mages guard it. Use the Stone and enter the Veiled Gods Throne once you touch the touch.
Strategy for:
All Magicak commands are sealed this battle so make sure all your Gamits are set to healing. Item spells like Motes are still allowed. Alongside the battle, Zeromus has 8 Dark Lords and can cast Piercing Graviga who can easily kill allies. Also, Zeromus will cast your party slowly and stop while casting Hastega on himself and Dark Lords throughout the battle.
8 Dark Lords start at the beginning of the battle with Zeromus, but can multiply to 30 if unchecked. Zeromus’ most deadly attack is Piercing Graviga, which easily kills allies. Also, Zeromus will cast your party slowly and stop while casting Hastega on himself and Dark Lords throughout the battle. Once Zeromus drops to 50% health, it will cast Great Barrier that reduces damage taken.
It’s best to take on this Esper once you reach X-Potions, Power Armlet, and Bubble Belt. While Piercing Gravija will not increase damage with the Bubble buff using the Bubble Belt. If possible, use the Pheasant Netsuke that can be obtained in the 70th floor Draklor Laboratory in Room 7002 East, doubling the effects of all restorative items.
Quickly killing Zeromus is the best strategy. Start using your Quickening skills to greatly reduce your health. Maximize as much DPS as possible once down to reduce to 0. Since you’ll have to rely on items for healing, reviving, and ultimately casting spells quickly killing Zeromus is ideal. Attempting to draw the battle out will lead to vexing moments trying to limit Dark Lords, keeping the party alive, and casting Piercing Graviga.
