How to power level in Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

You've finished the campaign and started Final Fantasy XII's optional content: the Zodiac Age, but there's still one problem, leveling. After completing the main campaign, you can start a new game plus that levels all your characters to 90, but loses everything else. Instead, we've built a power-leveling guide to help you reach level 99 without breaking a sweat.

There are several power-level places, but instead, we'll focus on the easiest and fasting place. Some requirements before starting:

Time Mage Break
Charges
Decoy (needs not, but makes things much easier)
Love
Stealing
Niveau 30 +
Cura or anything else above

Now head to the Henne Mines and south east of the map's Orange Crystal section (image above). You'll see "Gate Switchboard" switch. Before hitting, set up your gamits:

Time Magician:

Self: MP<10% Charge.
Foe: furthest — break
Foe: closest, break

Healer: Healer:

Self: MP<20% Charge.
Ally: HP<50%—Curaja (or Cura)
Ally: (Strongest defense character) – Decoy

Bullet Sponge (Doesn't have to be a healthy tank but party member)(Decoy target)

Foe: Farthest Steal

Now make sure your members are disarmed. If anyone is a Monk, make sure they're equipped with the Bowline Sash to prevent confusion, or they'll kill everyone as they're doing huge damage with or without a weapon. Everybody else doesn't matter.

When you hit the switch, Slimes will begin to fall indefinitely as long as you use Break to kill them. Steal will avoid pushing your Decoy target to the corner, preventing more Slimes from spawning. And finally, the Time Mage will start spamming Break and heal if necessary. While the Slimes won't do much damage to allies level 50 +, they cast poison, which doesn't do much damage but can kill over time. Healing's a waste, healing's enough.

Your Time Mage and Charge's MP should be fine. When your healer or Time Mage's MP reaches less than 10% Charge will restore their MP, using Ethers is expensive and finite. Heal before things get dire, and while Slimes cause confusion, your inflicted allies won't hurt each other as long as they're disarmed. Each Slime delivers 300-400 experience, 1 LP. You can earn over 10k experience in 5 minutes and double if you own an Embroidered Tippet using Zodiac's Age Speed Alteration system. Get some easy experience and license points now!
